Oak trees were planted as a boundary to property lines in the early years of California. Many of these majestic old trees survive to this day. This beauty is at the edge of one of my favorite vineyards. The tree embraces the sun in the late afternoon during harvest. The air is fragraent with the smell of grapes. The vines turn beautiful shades of gold that glow in the beautiful light of the setting sun. Harvest Oak is one of my top selling pictures of the Napa Valley wine country. All the elements of light and compostion came together this day. |
