Seattle
Washington
I had
a wedding in Montana. I decided to drive so I could take pictures of the
Northwest. Talk about rain? It poured and hailed and snowed as we made
our way through Northern California and Oregon. By the time I got to Seattle
the skies were clear. I took the ferry ride into the city on a blue-sky
day. Montana would have to wait.
I spotted
a promising hillside from the Ferry. I headed in that direction to find
the view of downtown. 45 minutes later I had found just the view I was
hoping for. Residents invited me up to their terrace. Could the postcard
view get any better? I even went back for sunset, strawberries, chocolate
and wine.

Tips:
I
must have driven down 15 streets before I found one with the perfect view
of the Seattle skyline. There were no tall trees clutter or phone lines.
The best tip I have for you is patience. It is nice when you have the time
to find "The Spot". It is even better when you have the time and patience
to wait for the sweet golden light. Getting invited up for good conversation
was a bonus. Thank you Alan and Catherine. The view of Seattle from your
terrace is a post card. Timing is everything. Blue skies provided the rest. |
